NOVA's 1.2 million gallon competitive pool, the largest volume pool in Broward County was designed and built to FINA preferred standards with a reinforced concrete shell, stainless steel fast gutters, two stainless steel movable bulkheads, two one-meter spring boards, one three-meter springboard and foundations for a future 5, 7.5 & 10 meter platform structure. Program diversity was the key in design allowing multiple events simultaneously. The pool will accommodate competitive diving, long course or short course swimming and/or water polo simply by moving the bulkheads.
